Introduction

The course will enable practicing managers to understand and be aware of the strategic role of supply chain management in building organisational competitiveness. It introduces various supply chain management issues and best practices parallel with the development of technology which enables managers to design and implement effective supply chain strategies locally and globally. In addition, this course will benefit students by providing an analytical view of the systems and procedures used to attract, develop and maintain a high-performing supply chain flow. It examines both the strategic decisions relating to supply chain management as well as current operational issues.
