Introduction
This programme is designed to satisfy the public sector’s needs for knowledgeable, highly trained human capital capable of managing and leading organisations in today’s competitive global context (N/345/7/1055)(MQA/FA8639)(05/22).
Graduates will be awarded with a PBS MBA degree, CMI membership and a Graduateship certificate from MAICSA (Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators).

Admission Requirements
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree [Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)] with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent as accepted by the PBS senate; or
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA below 2.75 but not lower than 2.50 will only be considered based on a strict internal assessment (including test, interview or portfolio); or
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to minimum 5 years of working experience in relevant field; or
- A recognised Postgraduate Certificate’s degree or its equivalent; or
- Other qualifications approved by the PBS Senate.
Note: In compliance with the latest regulatory requirements (https://bit.ly/MQA2nd – please refer to pages 38 & 39) students are required to complete a Pre-Requisite Course (PRC). It is compulsory for students to attend and pass this course before/while pursuing their studies at PBS. The purpose of this course is to equip the students with basic business knowledge in order to prepare them for the programme and students are required to pay a fee of RM 500.00 before registering for PRC. Applicable to those who do not have a business or management background. (Not applicable to exchange students).

MALAYSIAN INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED SECRETARIES AND ADMINISTRATORSÂ (MAICSA)
The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) was founded in 1959 as an affiliated body to Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). It is now one of the nine Divisions of ICSA worldwide, having achieved a Division status in 2001. Membership of the Institute is limited only to members and students of the Institute residing in Malaysia. At present the Institute has about 4,000 members (comprising Fellows, Associates) and Graduates, 2,100 students and 600 Affiliates.
In tandem with its mission of developing good corporate professionals, MAICSA is committed to maintaining the highest standard of integrity and ethical values within the profession. MAICSA also acts as a change catalyst in the corporate arena, participating actively in the enhancement of corporate governance.
